Massa ‘could make full recovery’

Felipe Massa’s condition is ongoing to enhance – using the doctors treating him denying earlier reports of damage to the eyes and rather suggesting he might make a complete recovery.

Colonel Dr Lajos Zsiros, the main surgeon from the Hungarian Defence Forces, told a news conference on Monday the 28-year-old have been woken from sedation on Monday mid-day, and it was unlikely to become sedated again.

“Within the last 24 hrs some major changes have undergone in the health of Felipe Massa,” stated Zsiros. “His condition remains stable.

“Throughout the CT scan we performed we’re able to determine there was a noticable difference in the condition. We stopped sedation and then Felipe Massa grew to become able to make contact.

“So within the mid-day we stopped the substitute ventilation of Felipe. These days he’s sleepy, but he gives sufficient solutions towards the questions we question, and that he can move his legs and arms spontaneously.

“At this time he’s no fever, so we have removed the drain tube from his wound. Further improvement of his condition should be expected. Throughout the night we don’t expect to do anymore interventions on him.”

Zsiros denied the sooner reports that Massa had hurt his left eye, which brought to speculation about his future participation in F1.
