Entry-level Hyundai Veloster Turbo confirmed

A sub-£20,000 Hyundai Veloster Turbo is going to be introduced, the organization has confirmed. The brand new model will undercut the Veloster Turbo SE, which matches on purchase in the finish of September, by around £2,000.

Paul Strong, Veloster product manager, told Autocar the standard vehicle – to become badged simply as Veloster Turbo – goes on purchase within the coming several weeks. It will likely be robotically like the Turbo SE, and can forgo a number of that model’s equipment.

It hasn’t yet been confirmed which standard features is going to be deleted, but leather trim and touchscreen navigation will probably be removed. The vehicle will support the SE model’s styling pack, including Turbo-specific 18in alloy wheels and much more aggressive bumpers and side skirts.

Strong also revealed there aren’t any plans to give the United States-specs Veloster Turbo in Europe. US buyers can be found the vehicle with 201bhp, as opposed to the 184bhp from the European version. Hyundai believes the low powered version is “more suitable” for a way European buyers drive.
